IFA: The world’s most significant technology marketplace

IFA in Berlin presents the latest products and innovations in the heart of Europe’s most important regional market. Only IFA offers such a comprehensive overview of the international market and attracts the attention of international trade visitors each year from more than 130 countries. IFA is the main meeting place for key retailers, buyers, and experts from the industry and the media.

IFA 2023 takes place at the Messe Berlin Exhibition Grounds from 1-5 September.

IFA remains at Messe Berlin as new chapter begins

The three parties have reached an agreement: the world's most important trade show for consumer electronics and home appliances will remain at the fairgrounds of Messe Berlin GmbH. The event now will be the responsibility of IFA Management GmbH – a new joint venture founded by gfu Consumer & Home Electronics GmbH together with Clarion Events Ltd, one of the world’s leading independent event organizers.

From 2014-today

Continuous expansion

In 2014, IFA celebrated its 90th birthday. The IFA Congress IFA+ Summit starts and with the City Cube Berlin there are also around 6,000 additional square meters of exhibition space available.

One year later, the new product area "Fitness & Digital Health" is introduced and in 2017 "IFA NEXT" is launched as a big stage for innovations. "IFA NEXT" is the new innovation hub for start-ups, research labs and companies. It offers know-how for the future of technology, business and lifestyle.

In 2018, the household electrical appliances sector will celebrate its tenth anniversary at IFA - long since an integral part of the show. "IFA Global Markets" is now Europe's largest sourcing market.

In 2019, "IFA NEXT" hosted an innovation partner country for the first time: with Japan, a high-tech nation presented itself.
